You'll like : An oddity. The whole of Picardy is covered with plots commemorating the Great War. For example, this Chinese cemetery in the Baie de Somme where lie buried workers employed by the British behind the lines. Most of them died of Spanish flu after the war.

About

The CWGC (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) Chinese cemetery stands near the French village of Noyelles-sur-Mer. It is the final resting place of 842 Chinese labourers employed by the British army in 1916 to carry out hard and dangerous tasks behind the lines. The cemetery was created in 1921 by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) who continue to take care of it today. It is the largest Chinese cemetery in France and Europe.
