Le Beffroi Musée Boucher de Perthes-Manessier
The Boucher-de-Perthes museum is housed in one of Abbeville's oldest buildings, the belfry dating from 1209 (one of the oldest in France). Collections include many objects from the rich archaeological heritage of the Somme and some outstanding examples of medieval Picardy sculpture.

The Boucher de Perthes-Manessier Belfry Museum is currently closed for renovation and extension work. Its reopening is scheduled for the end of 2028.To keep in touch with local residents and visitors, the museum is opening a Maison du Chantier in the Carmel-Heritage House in Abbeville.For four years, this space dedicated to the museum?s rehabilitation and extension project will welcome you, keeping you informed in real time of the progress of the work.Videos, themed exhibitions, architectural plans, views of the scenography, the Maison du Chantier reveals all the behind-the-scenes details of the museum?s transformation.
