Site de la Bataille de Crécy

About

On this site, the French army of Philip VI of Valois was defeated by the troops of Edward III, King of England, on August 26, 1346. This date marked the beginning of the Hundred Years' War. Panoramic view from the wooden belvedere tower.
A garden of works has now been created: 6 steel sculptures representing the kings present at the battle (Edward III, Philip VI and John of Luxembourg).

Also worth seeing: the Bohemian Cross (on the D56 towards Fontaine-sur-Maye).
